Company Description

Balaji Malts was founded in 2008 as a Kraft Paper Recycling enterprise. The company initiated its operations by procuring raw materials in the form of recyclable paper from all around Karnataka and now source materials from across Europe, the U.S.A., and U.A.E. Our goal is to minimise the availability of discarded carton boxes by recycling them into products like paper bags, boxes, and core pipes. We began producing over 80 tonnes of kraft paper per day, and have doubled production every four years since.

At Balaji Malts, we have fostered a socially responsible culture and a continual commitment to healthy environmental practices. The raw materials used at our plants are sourced from recycled materials. In 2015, we further upgraded this commitment by ensuring that we rely on renewable energy (solar and wind) to power our manufacturing plants.

In 2017, we ventured into Commodities Trading. In this rapidly growing Indian economy, there is a heavy reliance on high energy consumption across several sectors. Coal caters to more than half of India’s energy requirements. We currently supply over 2.5MT of coal per year to several industries such as cement, power, textile, steel, paper, and chemicals.
